The Chernovich family had a drunk driver smash into their front gate. The operator and hinges remained intact, but the frame was broken off at the bottom and badly bent on the top. Several of the faux-wooden slats were also destroyed.
We removed the single-swing gate from its hinges and set about assessing the damage. In the end, we were forced to inform Mr. Chernovich that it would cost less to just replace the gate rather than trying to repair it. He agreed, and we brought a new steel frame with an imitation wooden slat single-swing gate. The old hinges were still fine, so we installed it easily and hooked it up to the operator. It’s as if nothing happened now!
